Energy Star – Verify Performance
School districts should include a long-range Energy Conservation and Management Plan as part of their Facilities Master Plan with a clear and concise statement of energy and water use and conservation goals. The State of New Mexico requires public utility companies to offer energy and water conservation services to their customers. Many programs are specifically intended to help public schools save energy and money at little to no cost to the district. District staff should consult their local energy and water utility providers for the specific help they can provide. If needed, please contact the PSFA Planning Division for further information.
